Sunset Beach & Spa 04/26/01

I am familiar with travelling, however this was 1st time to Jamaica. I have been to Jamaica since this reported visit, therefore now have something to compare it to.

-Beach: water is calmer due to sheltered bay location, however the sand is less than desirable, unless you like cutting your feet as you run down the beach.

-Food: all 4 members of my party got food poisoning - confirmed to be from the resort as we never ate anywhere else. Confirmed to be food poisoning from the resort nurse....cold meat, warm fruit/salad....no selection...many repeats...need I say anything more.

-Staff: very personable and friendly, courteous

-Grounds: very attractive, well kept, nice pools and restaurant ambiance.

-Entertainment: ok on some nights, not worthwhile on others.....also, they consider bingo entertainment....although amusing, I never paid $1500 to go to another country to play bingo..neither should you !

Overall: more of a "sit-and-relax" vacation here
