Wyndham Rose Garden 05/14/01

I was extremely disappointed, for many reasons, with a week stay this past March at the Wyndham Rose Garden in Montego Bay.
Check in was painfully slow, and although we arrived at the hotel at noon our room was not ready until almost 6pm.
Room service was spotty at best, and in general service was extremely slow. The waitstaff at the bars and restaurants wavered between adequate and totally indifferent.
I had the unfortunate luck to have a ring and my Nikon camera stolen from my hotel room. I have written to the Wyndham headquarters twice detailing the event, and have yet to received a response from them.
The food at the hotel ranged from ok (the buffets) to good at the individual restaurants within the hotel. However, the cost for meals and drinks was extremely expensive. Go all inclusive if you plan on staying at the resort and not going into Montego Bay.
The beach and pools were wonderful, and there was free snorkeling, catamaran sailing and lots of water sports. There is a large and very fun water park right at the hotel.
All in all, however, I cannot recommend staying at the Wyndham Rose Garden.
