I have a lot of experience with tropical resorts -- in Cancun, Hawaii, Tahiti, etc. -- and Sandals Negril was the BEST. Terrific service, excellent rooms, great food, a fantastic beach and pool, and lots of activities add up to an unbeatable combination.
Can't say enough about how nice the workers/bartenders/managers are. They really go out of their way to be nice and helpful. The rooms -- we had a midlevel Grand luxe beachfront, not the best not the worst -- are luxurious with king beds and large bathrooms. The breakfast and lunch buffets feature 150 feet of food, well above Cafeteria-level fare, with outstanding sauces and desserts. The dinners are as close to gourmet as you'll find at all-inclusive resorts. The ocean is clear, the beach white and VERY clean, and there always were available chaise lounges, etc., even though the resort was full. The snorkel, scuba, waterskiing, etc. is all FREE and extremely well done; can't say enough about how fun the snorkel trips were, and how nice the helpers were.
This is a very romantic, top-of-the-line resort, and MANY guests were returnees; that should tell you a lot.
