Sandals Royal Caribbean 07/30/01

This really is a great resort. Being our first visit to Sandals, my fiancee and I were genuinely stunned by the difference over many other "all-inclusives".

Excellent dining, pleasant staff, well maintained gardens, pools and beach.

We visited the nearby Sandals Montego Bay and were far more impressed with the Royal Caribbean.

Although I give the resort a 4 star rating, there are a few things you should know before booking your trip:

- a little too crowded for an "intimate" resort.

- bar hours of operation need improvement. By 10:30 in the morning, after hours of lying in the sun, you're dying for a drink (alcoholic or otherwise). Even after the bars open, you can almost always expect a significant wait for service.

- The jacuzzis were always either filled with painfully overchlorinated or stagnant brown water.

- While Friday's "Kokomo Carnival" was festive and interesting, it was poorly planned and resulted in guests spending more than 45 minutes waiting for dinner.

Apart from these minor details, our experience at the resort was wonderful. We would recommend it to anyone and can't wait to go back!
