Just returned from sandals royal carribean in montego bay. Wouldn"t reccommend it for anyone who knows better. service and food was good. The courtyard restaurant was absolutely excellent. drinks were plentiful if you were male, if youre female be prepared to wait until the men are served to get a drink at the beach bar. The "swim up" bar pool, their main pool was filthy. if in the U.S. it would have been closed down. Vacationers cut there feet on missing tiles on the bottom. You could see the dirt in the water. i believe the only time it is filtered is when the pool man does a crude and quick vaccum job in the A.M. with a portble filter system. This was alarming to me( i have a pool at home). Also if you love the spa hot tubs. one was not working when i was there and the one by the pool bar (except 2 times) was too hot to go in. Honeymooning couple enjoyed the"playmakers" the young people who initiate games by the pool. They were wonderful!!!!! Although my room was an upgrade i do believe i was placed in the low rent district. this particular room had to be the shabbiest in the place, and unless we left the airconditioner on all night we heard cats. During the day we heard babies cry and sounds of the workers doing maintenance as our room(#65) back onto the repair area for the resort. I would love a response from the resort about my problems with their facilities. When i approached the desk person initially i was told a move was not possible as the hotel was full. Although... a honeymooning couple 2 doors down who was insistent on not listening to kids, workers and cats was moved????
