Wyndham Rose Hall Resort 08/11/01
Reviewers Rating: Fair
The water park is worth at least a one night stay at the Wyndham Rose Hall. Don't miss the water slide, or the river pool. The lush gardens and landscaping that surrounds the water park are beautiful and the beach is long and full of chairs, but the sea is rough here and not too fun too swim in.
Aside from that, there is not much I can say about this resort that is positive. Our view was of the roof of the lobby, with the ocean no where in site. The food was terrible, although the fries and chicken wings delivered promptly by room service were excellent. The drinks and food were terribly overpriced considering the quality, but we were not on the all-inclusive plan.
The rooms were like plain hotel rooms with small bathrooms. The public areas of the hotel were beautiful, especially the lobby and restaurants. There were mainly families with small children staying at the resort, and it was hard to find beach chairs under shade, even in August. The golf course is beautiful, and there are plenty of tennis courts as well, but not open at night. For a one-nighter, this place was definitely worth the stay, but try to eat somewhere else.
