Hedonism II 08/28/01

If you are a swinger, this is your paradise. If you aren't, this is one of Dante's levels of hell. We are in our early 30's, and went to Hedonism II to have a fun time and celebrate my birthday. We arrived to a damp room that had mold growing on the walls and ceiling, and an air-conditioner that didn't work. The place is loaded with swingers and people who think your main happiness is granted by seeing their crotch at dinnertime. If everything else in the facilities was not sub-standard, we could have made the best of the situation. On one good note, the management team are kind and sympathetic. When my husband and I arrived at the front desk, bags in hand, leaving after one night, they tried to accomodate us and understand why we were not happy. They moved us to Grand Lido Negril, and we were much happier. I would recommend Grand Lido to anyone, but please, if you want a romantic getaway, don't go to Hedonism II...unless you want the getaway with someone else's husband.
