Club Caribbean (Runaway Bay) 10/26/01

My boyfriend and I took a one week vacation at the Club Caribbean in August. We absolutely loved it! The food was excellent, the staff were helpful (yet relaxed!) and the room was clean. We really enjoyed having our own little hut on the beach which contained a safe we had access to. Also, the nightly entertainment was fabulous - especially the house band. The entertainment director, Macho, not only did a wonderful job with the entertainment, but made us feel welcome (including playing a couple tense games of Singles tennis, pool, darts, and beach volleyball). This is a place to go if you want to relax and have fun in the sun. If you would like a posh room and someone to pamper you, this is not the place to go. It is a wonderful spot that is reasonably priced (which is great when you're on a budget!) Everyone was friendly yet relaxed. As for the tips, considering the number one source of income in the country is tourism, I can understand why the staff hope to receive a tip. Thank you to everyone at the resort - we agreed we would definetely go back!
