We had the BEST vacation here. We stayed here the first week in September 2001 and can't wait to return. The bus ride to Negril was long and the road was under construction. It took about 3 hours! Spend the extra $52 and fly there on one of those little 4 seater planes and you're there in 15 minutes. (we did that on the way back! much easier!) The hotel is nice, the beach is beautiful! The water is warm and crystal clear. They will serve you drinks right on the beach. The pool is huge with a jaccuzzi on each end. The pool is multi-level and has a great pool bar. The drinks are good, but the beer selection is limited to Red Stripe or Lite beer. The food is great with a huge selection. The fancy resturant (reservation required) has great service, but the food is just as good in the other resturant where you can go casual. We ate about 6 meals a day. You will not go hungry here! We had perfect weather while we were there even though it was considered "off season" and the begining of rainy season. If it did rain, it was just a shower and the sun returned full-force! The only complaint I would have is they were a little slow in making up the room, but it got better as the week went by. There is plenty of food and sunshine here! I will return to Jamaica as soon as I can!
