Grand Lido San Souci Super Super Inclusive 12/02/01

I took my boyfriend to this resort for his birthday, November 2001, and I took great pains in finding the perfect resort...and I must say I did! The hotel exceeded my highest expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and helped me plan the perfect private dinner on his birthday on our balcony, complete with floral arrangement, candles, wine and our own personal concierge. The included spa treatments are better than those I've recieved home in NY and I regret missing my massage and reflexology. I was touring Dunn's River Falls and shopping. The food is bountiful....everything and anything you can imagine from Jamaican specialties to Italian and American cuisine to wines, branys, cordials and my favorite, their mixed specialties in a variety of fruit flavors. We stood in the Steve Mc Queen room, one of their suites overlooking the beach and the cliffs. We only had one minor problem which was fixed with the ease of a telephone call. My favoritye place during the day was the beach and bar grill where the main cook Kenroy made the best food and gave it the best atmosphere. There are many daily activites including beach cookouts, parties, volleyball, karaoke, crab racing and reggae dancing. We even went to a club outside the rsort with one of the locals and had the best time ever. People are friendly, the food is good and there are an unlimited amount of things to do or not do if that is your preference. I recommend this resort for anyone. I had the most amazing time there and anticipate my return next winter.
