Our younger son decided to get married here this past November, and we and the bride's parents accompanied them on the trip. Right from the moment we entered the resort, we were treated like kings! The staff are very professional, out-going, friendly, yet extremely polite and willing to please. One gets the feeling of being pampered but without the sense of being patronized. This is an all-inclusive resort, thus meals, drinks and other amenities like water sports, etc., and some tours are part of the guests' stay. The buffet style breakfast and lunch were excellent! A la carte dinners at the 4 retaurants were also very good. The nice thing about staying at a Sandals resort is the ability to travel to other Sandals locations and avail oneself of their hospitality. Dunn's River resort is only moments away by shuttle, and offers an alternative list of restaurants, larger swimming pools, and beach area. The weather was extemely warm and the Caribbean was a pleasant temperature as well. The grounds at Ocho Rios Resort are fabulous! Native plants, trees and vines proliferate the property; beautiful flowers spring everywhere, even along the pathways that meander throughout. Even though there are many guests, one still can achieve some privacy; although there were 8 of us altogether, we were never in each other's face all the time..each was able to experience time alone or with other guests as acquaintences with people from other parts of the world were easily made. In conclusion, we are seriously contemplating another visit to this resort upon my retirment 3 years hence; and fully expect to enjoy ourselves more than this past visit. Yah, mon! We strongly suggest Sandals Ocho Rios for anyone thinking of visiting Jamaica!
