There really should be a poor category. To rate this place "fair" is really being too gracious. Your almost always going to be stuck in a really crappy room at first. When you ask to be moved, they're more than happy to move you, for an extra fee. (when we "upgraded", they never even sent anyone to help us move our bags to the new room, which except for the view and the bigger size, was still pretty crappy). It seemed all the couple we met at Breezes went through the same routine. What a Scam !! The food sucked. No other way to put it. If you decided to have your meal at the outside dining area, you shared your meal with 4-5 stray cats who ran under/around your table waiting for someone to drop something (every meal!) The Staff was cold, uncaring, and sometimes rude (our rude encounter was with the female daytime manager, Ms. Smith) Tips will get you nowhere...and I mean it (except maybe the bar in which a few dollars may get you a drink that you can taste the alcohol). It's as if they don't want you there. It was boring to stay within the hotel (the 'disco' was always empty; the karioke bar smelled of vomit; the jacuzzi was way too hot to actually enjoy especially after a couple of hours under the sun; the pool is very small) Booking day tours didn't necessarily mean you were actually going....you had to hope enough people signed up or else you were stuck in the hotel for another day or you hire a cab (very expensive) Going outside the hotel property? Risky. Especially at night. Stay in groups or you may put yourself in a very bad position (a couple we met were chased back to the hotel grounds by a guy with a broken bottle who announced "gimme your money") Save your money. We made the mistake. And it's not cheap to stay at Breezes, so dont think it's a case of "you get what you pay for"... We'll go back to Jamaica, but never to Breezes chain, regardless of what location. Don't say we didn't warn you....
