We were looking for a quiet and romantic place to stay in ocho rios and definitely found it at the Jamaica Inn. All suites face the ocean and ours had a separate veranda to sit and relax. You could have breakfast in your room or sit at a table overlooking the ocean with other guests. Around 11am each morning they would serve you a tall rum punch on the beach. The beach was beautiful with palm trees swaying in the breeze. Every evening you gathered before dinner for hors d'oeuvres and wine. For dinner, we sat under the stars at a candlelit table and listened to a small orchestra play a variety of music...these guys were good... sam cook, oldies and new. Couples would dance thru out the evening. This inn is only about 10 min from ocho but we are aleady planning to go back. The owner is there to meet you when you arrive and say goodbye when you leave. This is a wonderful place to spend your honeymoon or celebrate a special time or event.
