Couples Negril 05/15/02

My boyfriend and I went for a week. Just a few thoughts... You should take a "puddle jumper" the flight from Montego Bay to Negril only takes about 10 minutes and only costs about $200 round trip. It is a little scary but worth it! The shopping trip was good. The first stop was a little scary and the second stop at the straw market was a pain, the people harrass you trying to get you to buy something from them. The last stop is Times Square. It's great. Bring a credit card to get jewellery, HUGE discounts. We had a good experience at the Royal Shop. Also, the Cigar King. The staff was a little rude at times. It sometimes seemed like it was a bother to wait on you. This was mainly a problem in the main dining room but didn't spoil our vacation. The resturant you need reservations for was good but not all that it was made out to be. The main differences between it and the main dining room were the size and it was air conditioned, it was cold, you need a light sweater. The food was the same. The beach was beautiful. It was perfect to get a float and float around for hours. The catamarn cruise was fun. Don't forget your suit for cliff diving. Not much to say about Ricks Cafe, it was raining when we went but we were told by another couple that it is a beautiful sunset. The spa was excellent. I recommend a body exfoliation. There isn't too much going on after 10:30 at night. It was perfect for us but if you're looking for a place to party this is not it. This resort is perfect for relaxing. Overall it was a good resort. I never go to the same place twice, variety is the spice of life, but we did enjoy it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.
