We stayed there April/02 and plan on returning..if the price stays down.

It was a great value for us coming from Canada. We stayed two weeks for the price of one at the Grand Lido. True it does not offer some of the extras the GL does , but I'll take two for one anytime.

Never had a problem with beach or pool chairs, there was lots and the hotel was fully booked. Food was good not fantastic, but, very good at times.

Hardly any children there during our stay..so no problem mon.

Bloody Bay is Fantastic for swimming..no weeds,rocks..just smooth sand and very calm.

The entertainment was very weak..but we turned in most nights and went to Negril for some local sights.

This was our 14th trip to Ja. and we'll be back next year...hopefully to the Riu...if the world doesn't book it up solid.
