superclubs breezes runaway bay 07/05/02

My wife and I just returned from Breezes Runaway bay 6-28-02 through 7-04-02 and had the time of our lives. We are both 31 years old and this was our first all inclusive. I will start with the one and a half hour ride from the airport, it is an experience if you suffer from motion sickness be sure to take dramamine and you should be fine. The service was excellent from the moment we stepped on to the property our room was not yet ready so we got two pina colada's and strolled through the beautiful resort. The sand on the beach is very fine almost powdery that feels wonderful on barefeet. There are many beach lounge chairs and hammocks for you to use as well. The have a trapeeze clinic which was one of our highlights the staff there was very helpful and made it seem easy. There is some decent snorkling right on the beach area near the coral reef where you will see some beautiful tropical fish. They also take you on hobie cat rides which was very enjoyable. They have windsurfing available but it was to windy for beginners when we were there, then there are sea kayaks and paddle boats available as well. The scuba diving instructor was very good his name was Shaney, this was our first time scuba diving and he made us feel very comfortable and safe. The hardest part about scuba diving was the swimming stamina test which is two laps around the pool, it does not look that far but I did not make it the first day, then on the second day I started slower and made it around twice. They then take you on one scuba dive per day some where 30 feet others where 45-50 feet you see many fish and even a ship wreck which makes it very well worth it. Ther are many other activities during the day driking games, trivia games, battle of the sexes etc. that are good mixers but the staff does not make you fell pressured to join in if you do not wish to. The food was all very good, lots of fresh fruits and fish. There is a grill on the beach that has the best hamburgers and jerked chicken the cook there is very entertaining as well. They also have a wonderful Italian restaraunt where the food and service is outstanding. This was our sixth anniversary so we decided to renew our vows which is included as well. I cannot say enough about the service we recieved here they do all of the planning for you all you do is show up. They made a beautiful bouquet for my wife and they made a beautiful wedding cake and had chapagne also. The minister was wonderful we could not have come up a better choice of words for our renewal. After your ceremony and they take pictures they take you on a carriage ride outside the resort with wine and a lady that rides with you to pour your wine and answer any questions you have. If you are thinking about getting married or renewng your vows I would highly recomend this resort. We also took tennis lessons from the resort pro which where very helpful. We also went on the guided bike tour outside the resort which was fun. They have golfing available as well. The only activity they had that was not good was the water skiing do not come here if you mainly want to water ski it is much different on the ocean than on a lake. So in closing this is a wonderful resort for couples of any age I would not recommend it for singles looking to meet others however because it is mainly couples there. Also if you are looking for a wild crazy party this is not for you as the disco is not used that much. It is a wonderful place to go to relax and do water sports as much or as little as you like.
