What a wonderful place! It absolutely lived up to it's expectations with us. The nanny was INVALUABLE!! A true vacation for me and hubby but still had the kids their! I have a 8, 5 & 3 year old. The 8 yr old was a little old for the nanny so we let him do pretty much what he wanted to. Sometimes he hung with us, others he hung with freinds and sometimes with her. A very safe enviroment to let them have a little freedom. The pool is huge and the swim up bar was so much fun. The kids got a huge kick out of ordering "the drink of the day" and of course the ADULT drinks were very good too. Very freindly all around. I don't know if I would suggest taking the kids off of the property though. The rest of Jamaica is a little different than the resort. We left them with the nanny and went on the shopping tour. A great place to get Coffee, sugar, t shirts and misc things. They also include a jewerly stop if you wanted to get some duty free things. That was a very nice shop. The food was ok. I HIGHLY recomend paying the nanny each night and going to the italian adult only restaurant. A very romantic, laid back kind of place. The food was very good but the portions a little small. A waiter will come and take your drink order and then a waitress will take your dinner order. Make sure you order dessert and coffee too! The nanny was $4 an hour. We also tipped her at the end of our stay because we used her EVERY night and she did such a great job. We weren't ever past 11:00 because the activities were pretty much closed down then. The bar would stay open untill the last person left though. I highly recommend the snorkeling. Their is a beautiful coral reef right off the beach and the fish and coral are amazing! Sign up in the kids center at 6 every night. You can do it every day. Since there is a reef right off shore there are lots of rocks on the small beach. I recommend watersocks!! It does make it much easier to get in the water. Also bug spray - the sand flies like to bite! One more thing to bring if you have older kids is a set of 2 way radios. Lots of families were able to keep in touch that way! If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
