Beaches Boscobel 06/08/2003
Reviewers Rating: Fair
Having visited 3 other Beaches and Sandals resorts we were very excited to arrive at Beaches Boscobel, especially as the resort was advertised as New (upon arrival we found that it was actually a refurbished resort). If you go to this resort be prepared for a long and arduous transfer from the airport to the resort. We booked a Luxury Family Suite and according to the advertising on the website ALL suites include an in-room stocked bar, bath robes etc. Our room had neither, when we questioned this we were told that the Luxury Family Suites (even though they are "suites") do not include an in-room stocked bar, bathrobes etc. When we asked why - since it was a Luxury Suite - they simple said "it just doesn't". We were also disappointed to find that the Beach did not at all resemble the beach in the brochure. The actual beach is quite small (approx. 100 yards wide) with jetty's on each end where the locals stand and try to sell you pot and local crafts. Our room over looked a fountain area that could have been beautiful except for the fact that the Fountain was out of order and had no water in it. Compared to Beaches/Sandals other resorts this one just does not measure up. Try Beaches Turks and Cacaicos I think that you'll be much more satisfied.
