FDR Resort 06/15/2003

Visited FDR for 2 nights in June 2003. Resort is small but cozy. Rooms were large and roomy, with good furnishings. Great kids activities and nanny service (included). Small beach area. Small pool area and separate water slide/pool. Resort is a little nicer as far as facilities go (compared to their other resort FDR Pebbles - see other review if interested) but the main restaurant service was below average (especially the dinner). The grill food and service was very good. Dinner was a disappointment for us at the Veranda restaurant because it took so long the first night that we couldn't wait for dessert and coffee (kids were falling asleep); second night we were not impressed with the steak dinner and went to sleep hungry. In all fairness, though, others told us that the adults only Pier restaurant was very good (we did not try that one because we wanted to have dinner with our kids). Snorkeling was good and the Dunn's River Falls tour (both included) was excellent.
