Breezes Runaway Bay Resort - All Inclusive

Reviewers Rating: Great
We just returned (on Air Jamaica, don't ask) from a fantastic week at BRB. This was our 6th time there and the staff could not have been more friendly. The last couple of years I gave BRB an excellent rating, 4 stars. I really felt I couldn't do that this time. While the grounds, the beach, the lobby were wonderfully maintained, the rooms, unfortunately, need a facelift. Our room was clean and very well maintained by the wonderful housekeeping staff. It was obvious that, except for the new drapes and bedspread, nothing else had been touched. Oh, the furniture and the wooden palm tree headboard were whitewashed. There were no pictures on the white walls so the room looked really bare. Some of the tile seemed to be missing on the floor near the back of the toilet and that part was brown with what looked like rust. Had I not stayed there before and seen that, I would have asked to have my room changed. Everyone still has to slam their doors to make sure they're shut. The outdoor entertainment used to end around 11, but this past week, it lasted past 11:30 most nights. That meant that you could hear an unbearably loud bass as if it was playing right outside your balcony. Would I return to BRB? Definitely. It might have some minor flaws but it's still a great place to relax, play some golf, and enjoy the fact that it's not snowing.
