My best-friend and I stayed at Kuyaba, Negril August 6th-9th 2004. The hotel and staff were wonderful.
Rooms: We stayed in a deluxe room, the beds, floors, walls, bathroom were all very clean. Everyday the staff came in and cleaned and straightened our things up. The floor is tile, so you tend to track sand in, but lay a towel right inside the door and that will take care of that.
Bar: The staff at the bar were absolutely wonderful, every day we spent a good portion of our time hanging out.
Restaurant: Without a doubt some of the best dining in Negril. The breakfast was UNREAL!! Ackee and saltfish every morning for me.
Beach: Right in the middle of the strip so a prime location for white sand beach. Lots of water activities if you want it, or relax on the provided lounge chairs with a book.
Neighbours: There's a jerk pit on either side and also across the street from the hotel, so its easy to get some hot jerk chicken. There's also a duty-free mall across the street for any gift shopping or last minute items. Nightime partying is a five minute walk along the beach, or grab a taxi by the mall to take you to one of many hotspots.
I'll be coming back for more August 2005.
