This was a post cruise stay, 1 night. The carpet was filthy stained or dirty throughout. The location was excellent for Old San Juan but I just couldn't get past the filthy carpet also, hair in the bathtub (sorry to be gross).The bell boys were slow to deliver luggage. It seemed there was no system or procedure. We finally got one guy who was very helpful after an hour wait. If the rate sounds too good to be true it probably is! By the way we stayed at the Marriott pre-cruise and it was excellent. Try there lobby coffee bar- um-good.
