Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool as well as the ocean. The beach area was smaller than some other resorts, but was sand, not rocks. The buffet breakfast was good. For 25 cents, you can take the public bus (B21) into San Juan. These buses (which are air-conditioned!) run approx every 30 minutes and the bus stop (Parada) is less than a block from the Marriott.
