Four Seasons Resort-Nevis 5/6/00

My husband and I went to the resort in '98 for our honeymoon. Couldn't have picked a better place. Coming from CA the flight is a bit long (L.A - Miami - San Juan - St. Kitts and a boat to Nevis) Once you are on the launch, the staff checks you in - only after making sure you have a rum punch in hand. You have a personal guide as soon as you disembark at the resort who walks you through and points out the major buildings (actually, the one main building) they then take you directly to your room. The grounds are perfectly manicured with hammocks here and there. The rooms were fabulous - giant king-sized beds and huge marble baths. The food is fabulous - but a bit pricy. Purchase the meal plan which will include breakfast and dinner. It will save you a lot of money. Make sure you try a Nevisian Smile at the bar (prepared by Oswald or June)- their signature drink and oh so good. If you like a lot of nightlife - don't go here. There is not a lot to do - except there is a great golf course. This is the perfect place to just be.
