Frigate Bay Resort is one of the best kept secrets in the Caribbean. Very reasonable in-season rates. Sure it is not the Marriott, but if you want a small, quiet & friendly place this is it. We were there this past week and found it located on a hillside with steady breezes. FBR is a short 5 min walk to the beach and within walking distance to other restaurants (Ciao, Rock Lobster, Marriott, Marshalls). FBR's own restaurant Jasmines is a pretty good deal - figure $20 for eggs, bacon, toast & coffee for 2; dinner - $15 to 32 (grilled lobster)pp; the pool bar has a less expensive menu & very reasonable drink prices. Service was prompt & attentive (unlike the big hotel across the golf course) Also, never had to get up early to grab a spot by the pool - plenty of lounge chairs. Any downside? Ok the rooms are clean & functional but could use an update and new towels. All in all this place is a comfortable place to sit back read a book and relax.
