Hurricane Cove 05/07/2006

Hurricane Cove is very rustic, lacks amenities, and is not guest friendly. The property manager was rude and misrepresented the accommodations. She said that the trade winds kept it cool, so you didn't need a/c. False - our bungalow was sweltering and we were miserable. She said the beach was 20 steps away. False - it is a long descent down a very steep hill and a strenuous walk back up. The mosquito netting over the bed did nothing to thwart off the terrible mosquito infestation. Birds came in and ate your food off the kitchen counter. The water pressure was bad and literally just dripped out of the rusted shower head. We unscrewed the shower head (that had a pull cord) to at least get some sort of stream of water. No phones - had to walk down a hill to use the phone. We moved to Mt. Nevis and were much more pleased.
