Wyndham Morgan Bay 5/29/00

We had a great time at the Wyndham Morgan Bay. We went in May of 1999. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and clean. I would call the food very good. Not excellent, but very good for an all-inclusive resort. The highlight of the resort, for me, was the watersports. Not only is the beach nice, but Wyndham's beach is a great spot to sail in and out on the Hobie Cats or Windsurfers. For those who like waterskiing (we don't) there are boats right on the beach ready to take you out and jet skis were also available. The staff who worked at the watersports place were great while we were there. Very helpful and friendly.On the slightly negative side, the staff in the restaurants were not overly friendly. We were told that they do not like the management and have a bit of a poor attitude because of it. Also, I was very dissapointed in the safety of the island itself. I'm a runner and tried to go out for a run on the first day, but didn't feel comfortable going outside the resort. In fact, the women at the front desk strongly recomended that I stay inside the resort. The Wyndham had a security guard posted on the beach all the time. While it's good that the Wyndham did this, it's too bad they have to. The entertainment was also very good, particularly a local dance group they had one night. Every night they had some form of entertainment. Definately a very nice place to go for an all-inclusive vacation. Just don't plan to venture too far from the resort.
