Looking for a lovely, unique, quiet, and personalized vacation spot? If so, look no further than Stonefield Estate, in Soufriere, St. Lucia, on the southern end of the island. Accommodations are in one to four-bedroom villas with panoramic Caribbean views. With welcome Planter's Punch in-hand, walk onto your private sea-view deck (hammock, chaise longe, table) into the villa and past the galley kitchen and living room, check out the patio with fruting papaya tree, into the bedroom (four-poster bed/mosquito netting and great storage), and out to your private outdoor shower with a fruiting banana tree. Then, head up to the pool, have another Punch at the restaurant/bar, and enjoy the fantastic view of Petit Piton and the sea below. Watch the spectacular sunset and pat yourself on the back as you think of your fellow travellers still on the 1.5-hour bus ride to the northern resorts. Thoughtful staff will help you plan short trips to activities near Stonefield Estate: Warm Mineral Falls, Sulphur Pits, Diamond Botanical Gardens, and beaches. Of course, you'll plan to visit the north, but you'll find yourself longing for the quiet beauty of your villa at Stonefield as you work your way though the stop-and-go traffic of Castries. You'll never regret deciding to stay in the south where you'll be able to experience something close to the "old Caribbean" in Soufriere, and you'll swear that you'll return to Stonefield when you return.
