Excellent
We stayed at Wyndham from May 24th-30th and had a great time.
The staff were very friendly at all times. It was no problem getting a drink at the bar and since I love diet Coke it was great because they pour it right out of the can. There was live entertainment nightly and it was pretty good. The pool was nice, a little small, but never overcrowded.
The food was very good for a resort environment. My husband loved the omlette station and looked forward to breakfast every day. The Palm Grill (where you make a reservation) was good too. I got their stir fry chinese noodles with vegetables and it was delicious.
The beach is nice, always chairs available. We did kayaking, bannana boats, tube rides and everything appeared to be well run. The only thing I wanted to try that I didnt was waterskiing and that was because we ran out of time! They were very patient with those who had trouble getting up on the skis.
We had an oceanview room which I'd recommend since your closer to the bar, beach, activities and best of all, the view of the ocean. At night we'd sit on out and just listen to the waves.
We took a tour with a cabbie recommended by the resort. His name was Claudea and he seemed to know almost everyone we drove by on the island! He took us to the Pitons, Sulphur Springs, Botanical Gardens, bannana plantation, rainforest and gave us info about the island and its people all along the way. When we went in to do something, like the rainforest walk, he just waits for you to get done. It was nice to do our own thing at our own speed. It was $140 US and were gone for about 6-7 hours.
All in all we had a great time and think Wyndham is a good value for the $$ spent.
