Have just returned from an excellent holiday, two adults, one 12 year old.
Facilities were great, plenty of watersports and other activities. We did not see our child from 8 am to 10pm, he was fully occupied! The beach is very safe, virtually exclusive to the hotel guests, locals very friendly too. I have never been to a more friendly country.
The rooms were cleaned daily, the pools also. All in all, much more than I expected for a three star hotel and I really wish I hadn't worried about the negative reviews. All I can assume is that people haven't been recently or were expecting five star luxury.
I did NOT see ants, smell sewage or experience ill-mannered staff. Completely the opposite, the staff were unfailingly helpful and polite.
The only negative feedback I can report is that I wouldn't recommend couples book during school holidays, the resort is very child orientated and 'adults-only' areas were not enforced.
Breakfast was superb, evening meals in the International Grill were so-so.
All in all, go with an open mind, don't be put off and you will enjoy your stay. We certainly did!
