Hotel & Resort Reviews: St. Lucia
Rendezvous 11/14/01
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Just returned from having spent 3 glorious weeks at the Rendezvous. We stayed in one of the seaside suites ovelooking the pool and gardens with the beach 50 yards away. The room was clean and comfortable, big bathroom with double hand basins.Definately worth paying a bit extra. The all inclusive was very good value and you could drink and eat as much as you liked (if thats what you want), all brand name drinks. The evening entertainment was some of the best we have had, including the very talented staff show each week. The a'la carte restaurant 'The Trysting Place' was excellent (all included). The terrace restaurant overlooking the beach was good too. Two swimming pools and a large sandy beach meant that you had plenty of room to sunbathe without being on top of other people.Bit dissappointed about the sea. Not as clear and blue as Barbados, but still ok. Hardly ever pestered on the beach, locals were very friendly. The staff at the Rendezvous are special and really go ! out of their way to make you feel welcome. As Le Sport is owned by the same people as Rendezvous, you can get a free pass to go and spend the day there (its worth doing). You only have to pay for your taxi to get you there. There were plenty of wedding s there, sometimes two or three a day. I would recommend choosing the 4 o'clock time if you are getting married. At least you can carry your celebrations on into the night and the bride get the most out of wearing her wedding dress. Most people go to the bar for cocktails early evening .It didn't seem quite right for couples getting married at lunchtime to be wandering around the terrace restaurant with everyone in their swimming gear. Its too hot to keep a wedding dress and on all day. Hope this info helps. We had a great time.
