Great
Well I'd like to start with my impresssion of the island itself. I think St.Lucia is beautiful! The people of the island were so friendly and hospitable. WE loved all of our taxi drivers, and our tour guides. WE loved shopping in the markets, but if you don't like bargaining then there is plenty of "mall" shopping. My husband loved the fact that he could buy a "piton" (the native beer) from anywhere. That kept him quiet while I shopped.
We didn't leave the hotel to go out to eat much b/c out hotel was all inclusive. We did go to The Lime in Rodney Bay. There were not many people in that area, and only a few couples in the restaurant. I thought it was expensive and had better food at the hotel.
Now back the the Wyndham!
We can't say anything bad!
The food was good. Breakfast was very good. We loved the "make your own omellette" table! Lunch was okay, they had BBQ stuff as well as a variety of food. Dinner at Tradewinds was a la carte and excellent! The menu there changed every 3 days.
The bar was excellent. I am not a beer drinker but my husband loved those Pitons!, they also had Heinekin too. I loved the mixed drinks. They had a lot fo name brand liquors. I had Bailey's on the rocks a bunch!. We loved the late night snack they offered set up by the Tradewinds. We always seemed to get hungary at 11:30pm!
The rooms are very nice. We paid extra for a beach front room which was definitely worth it. We were also on the bottom floor. Room 512! The rooms that are not beach front are up on a hill.
The entertainment was great, but it repeats itself every week, so if you plan on staying for more than a week, be prepared to see the same thing. They had a variety night, a karaoke night, and different bands.
Joy's Adventure Trip was great and anyone staying at the hotel should definately go! We took a boat trip to Soufriere, and saw the Volcano, the Sulfur Springs, ate a great lunch cooked by Joy's sister, and went snorkeling at the Hilton. You can sign up for it at the watersports hut.
They had a lot of watersports too. Jet ski's, banana boats, tubing, water skiing. They also offered diving trips too.
We had considered going to Sandals but decided not to spend the extra money. I'm glad we chose the Wyndham. We met a lot of different people and I highly recommend it!
