Great
This was my first Sandals but far from my first all-inclusive. I found this resort to be charming, quiet and relaxing. The Paradise Pool area was perfect, lots of room to float around and a great bar with never a line. There was something to appeal to everyone. I was married here and Sandals knows how to do weddings - you feel like you are the only person they ever did a wedding for and, in my opinion, that is a gift when they do so many.My husband and I are not joiners but it does not matter as this resort caters to everyone. If you want group activities, they offer many a day. If you want privacy and quiet, it's easy to find. The restaurants were good but not outstanding. Having the option of going to the larger Sandals is a huge bonus. We only went over there for dinner but we enjoyed our dinners at the golf resort more than at Halcyon. The Pier has a wonderful steak which we highly recommend.
The greatest asset this resort offers is its employees. They truly care about each and every guest who comes to visit. Estelle, who works at the Beach Bar, will know your name as soon as it comes off your lips and she will never forget for the entire time you are there. She also speaks 5 languages herself so converses with a multitude of guests in their native tongue. Teddy (you'll know him soon after arriving) is energetic, fun and makes sure everything is going well for you. The servers, housekeepers, bartenders, etc. all put in 100% to make your vacation the best you ever had.
The guests are international and the week I was there the majority were English, followed by Americans. However, we also met people from Switzerland, Germany and France.
You can't go wrong going to this resort, so pack your bags and get ready for fun.
