Hotel & Resort Reviews: St. Lucia
Wyndham Morgan Bay Resort 01/29/02
Reviewers Rating: Great
Wyndham is an expertly run hotel and is just about the right size in our opinion.

We travelled as a family of five and occupied two rooms (one with king size bed and the other two double beds) next door to each other. Our rooms were standard accommodation up the hill, so if you have walking difficulties consider upgrading to a pool or ocean front room. All rooms are the same size just the location is different. We were very pleased with our rooms, they were spacious and decorated in nice pastel colours. The maid service is daily and they do a thorough job.

The food was of very good quality in the Palm Grill and excellent in the Tradewinds Restaurant. If you are staying two weeks please note the menu changes daily for one week only in the Palm Grill so you will see the same food the following week.

The staff were friendly and courteous in all departments of the hotel.

The nightly entertainment was for the most part good, it could have done with starting a little earlier for us Brits who struggled to catch up the time difference the first week!

As the hotel was very under occupied the water sports were plentiful with no queues which pleased our teenagers.

The beach was our only critisism. It is not soft and powdery and certainly not white in colour! The sea was murky too so no snorkelling to be done here unfortunately. We spent our days by the pool, which was a little disappointing for our 5 year old as it is too deep for a little boy who can't swim! If Wyndham had a better beach and clear water we would have given it 4 stars. We would certainly recommend it to our friends.
