Windjammer Landing, Le Brelotte Bay 10/31/02

My wife and I just returned from a week long stay at this wonderful resort. Everything from the staff, the rooms, the beach, to the food was first rate. Any issue that was mentioned was immediately solved without a fuss. Windjammer Landing is a family resort, and although we did not travel with children, we saw many examples of their extra efforts in dealing with the issues of children away from home. A fun house, day and nite sitting services etc. Also, everyday there was an activities list distributed to all guests for the coming day, a nice touch. The resort has many dining options, and the food was very well presented and tasty. The beach on the resort was nicely kept and very water sport activity is free to guests. Two words of warning... 1.The drive to Windjammer is over one and a half hours on some tricky roads from the international airport. The rental cars are readily available but pricey. Also, The island is left side drive, and the cars are right side drive (like the UK). Taxis are also pricey. 2.Although the residents of the island are generally quite nice, be prepared to be approached for some spare change. A firm NO THANK YOU, or SORRY NO, worked well in very instance.Overall... a great resort, on a nice island.
