Marigot Beach Club & Dive Resort 12/30/02

We really enjoyed our stay at Marigot Beach Club. Our 1 bedroom villa was one tier up from the water, just behind the restaurant, but was not at all noisy. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with tiled paths to the villas behind us. We had a lovely lanai overlooking the bay, and spent many hours watching the yachts in gorgeous Marigot Bay. The little ferry ride across the bay was fun, and gave us an extra sense of security. The kitchen was large and functional, although a decent knife would have been useful. Grocery shopping, however, is best done in Castries, and we were glad we had a jeep to navigate the crazy roads (on the left!)We enjoyed swimming in the waters of the bay, both off the beach and rocks, and rented a small sailboat for some fun on a windy afternoon. We also took advantage of the resort course in diving, and were both amazed and awed at being over 30 feet below the ocean. In the evening there are several great restaurants just a ferry ride away, which we enjoyed more than the hotel restaurant, Doolittles. We found the Marigot Beach Club a tranquil place to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean.
