Bay Gardens Hotel 04/09/2003

If you are looking to stay in a cheaper place near Rodney Bay and Reduit Beach, this place is great. It's an easy walk to the beach from here. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good.
My wife and I stayed here to fill in a few days between two nicer resorts, and it filled that perfectly. But as your sole place to stay, I'd go elsewhere. In fact, I'd skip Rodney Bay altogether, as Reduit Beach is only okay and the restaurants and shops nearby are fairly lackluster. You're going to St. Lucia to relax, not shop or eat amazing food (go to New York for that!); so go to a quiet resort somewhere.
All that said, Bay Gardens is a good hotel.
