We were fortunate to be upgraded to this property from the Rex St. Lucian. The Royal is an all suite luxury hotel but has a relaxed, beachy feel to it. The bedrooms are seperated from the sitting area by a half wall and then shutters. Two steps up to the bedroom and the double vanity marble bathroom. Thick terry robes and even thicker terry towels completed the picture. There was a/c, cable TV, closet safe and minibar. We asked that the minibar be emptied, and it was within minutes. There was also nightly turn down service which we got a kick out of. The beach in front of the Royal was the best of Reduit. Nice and wide with palm trees and "palapas" for shade. Unfortunately, Lenny changed all that and most of the beach was gone by the time we left.The pool came in handy because of this. Big pool, swim-up bar and lots of space for lounges and umbrellas. The staff and service were great. They were truly challenged by Lenny but the resort was back to normal in less than 24 hours, never having a disruption in any of the basic services. They even threw a champagne party to thank the guests for their patience! I would love to go back but...... so many islands......
