St. Lucia Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews Reviews
Club St Lucia by Splash All-Inclusive
03/22/2004
Reviewers Rating: Fair
Just returned for a week at Club St. Lucia on 3/21. Although the accomodations were decent, I was disappointed by the resort. Rooms are ajoining in bungalow style units, each with a patio. My room in Julio Mango was in the rear of the property and fairly private and relaxing. The property is quite large and divided into villages. Had read (here) about "village mayors", but never saw the likes of one. Meals...most of them are buffet and sadly lacking. I've been to other all inclusives and there is no comparision. Expect to wait until you've eaten before you'll be served coffee or water by a surley waitress. However, the bar tenders were friendly. The beach was a big let down. It was small and crowded with dark sand. Water visability isn't that great. On a more positive note, they've got a couple of Sun Fish and a Widgon for sailing. Kayaks and snorkle equipment are available. The pool slide was a lot of fun. Private vendors offered waver runners, tubing and water skiing for a fee. Most of the beaches in St. Lucia are fairly small coves. If you're reading this, and it's too late...you've already booked. Get a taxi $12.00 US one way, to Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay. It's the area's nicest beach.
