The Downtown Hotel 11/07/2007

We had plan to stay in Antigua for two weeks but we later decided to cut our stay and visit St. Lucia. When we arrive in St. Lucia we stayed at two hotels in the north. Since Soufriere was a “must see“, we headed to Soufriere. We stayed at a hotel but we weren’t pleased with it. A taxi driver brought us to the Downtown Hotel. The rate was around what we budget for. The Receptionist was so welcoming. She accompany us to our room. When she open the door, we were greeted by the fragrance of flower. The room was Great!! It was quite comfortable, clean and the view of the town of Soufriere. WOW! At nights I remember sitting in the balcony reading a novel, every now and then I had to look up to see sporadic burst of French architecture in the distance. At the end of our stay, we really didn’t want to leave, we had such a good time but we had to fly to Antigua. Thanks Downtown Hotel for a great stay!!!
