Glencastle Resort

My family and I have just spent one week at Glencastle Resort. The staff are great but the hotel management has left a lot to be desired. Breakfast was included in our package but for most mornings all that was available were eggs, sausages and bacon! The restaurant was NOT open most evenings and so most guests who were not familiar with the island like myself had nothing to eat until 7:30 a.m. the following day! I must say that I went to Castries or Rodney Bay and brought fruits, snacks or anyting that was good for the kids until morning. Some days I would buy a meal in Castries and around 7:00 p.m. I would ask the kitchen staff to re-heat for me, which was taking a risk. If this hotel is all that it claims then by all means provide proper meals in the morning and PLEASE open the restaurant at night for dinner. I stayed because I was unsure of the other hotels but I will never return to that hotel. The taxi is also poor. One of the men charged me $50US to transport me to Rodney Bay Mall and then to Dornelly's Guest House.
