I just returned from a week long vacation at the Jalouise Hilton. It was nice but definitely not the premium hotel that Hilton suggests it is.
Pros:
- Location. It does have a great view of the Pitons.
- Plantation Restaurant. Excellent food, presentation, and service.
Cons:
- Rooms. Definitely needs upgrades.
- Staff. Not very helpful unless it is about spending money at resort.
- Price. Rooms, meals, amenities are all very expensive for the quality that you receive.
About St. Lucia...
- Great views, very beautiful place.
- People are extremely friendly.
- Suggest renting a car since taxis are expensive and it takes a while to get to anyplace due to the winding roads. We rented a car from from Cool Breeze rental. It seemed they overcharged us even though we had proof of price, made rules up that were not in contract, and made us pay for damage already on car that we mentioned when we picked it up.
-South of the island is more picturesque. North part has more activities.
