St. Lucia Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews Reviews
LeSport All Inclusive Resort 12/20/2004
Reviewers Rating: Great
We went as a couple Mon-Fri the second week of Dec '04. this was our first trip to the Caribbean. We chose this resort based on a travel agency's recommendation for a hotel/spa that featured nature, activities and was somewhat unique (not a large chain). What also lured us was the idea of having spa treatments almost daily.
We left Philadelphia to fly into San Juan, then off to the Charle's airport in St. Lucia. It was only a 20 min. drive to the resort. We had a very friendly arrival, and were welcomed to a luxury oceanview room. It was a nice sized room with fair decor, but the patio doors opened up to a warm spectacular view! It was worth the trip to see that each day. The patio was also a nice size and we did spend some time out there taking in the view of the lush property, mountains, and the ocean. It was perfect.
The variety of food was plentiful, fresh, and featured comfort food and lots of fruit and vegetables- the best of both worlds.
In general, we felt comfortable being there, and the overall atmosphere relaxing. If you wanted fun nights with entertainment or daytime drink service by the beach-they had it also.
The schedule of activities each day was good to have even if you did your own thing most of the time- once again best of both worlds.
The spa was a very nice place, and the treatments were satisfying. My only wish would have been to have more choice and flexibility with the treatment schedule. You received a schedule for one treatment per day (except travel days) including time and type of treatment. However, if you wanted any variation or change made, it was not likely you would get it, or you would have to pay extra.
The grounds were well kept, the buildings were also in good condition- nature was around each corner.
We now wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of more of the activities, book a soft adventure, or go on the day trip to Martinique. A couple more weeks to get it all done- Maybe!
