St. Lucia Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews Reviews
Rendezvous 04/19/2004
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
Just got home after staying at the Rendezvous and boy..what an enjoyment..it was our first time in the Caribbean and we know we choose the right hotel. Right from the moment you get there were you are greeted with a rum punch to the moment you leave you always had a smile on your face..The staff were fantastic..they could,nt do enough for you, we never ever got a sour face from anyone. Your not allowed to tip them at all, they just want a nice smile and a thank you from you. Our holiday ran so smoothly because of the way the whole hotel is run. We had upgraded to a Oceanview room and they were superb..Everything in there you wanted, even had english plugs!! the balcany is abit small but hay you get to see the ocean in full view and the sunsets which were lovely. The food was lovely, we are not fussy eaters but i,m sure if you are there was still enough there to suit everyone. They had theme nights every night with it being Mexicon or Caribbean but even if you did,nt like that sort of food there was still plenty of normal food to choose from. You could eat for around 16 hours of the day no stop if you so wished too!! The entertainment daily and nightly was fantastic..from games on the beach everyday were you can always win a t-shirt or a bottle of rum to the evening entertainment was great. The singers and dancers they had on were ever so good. Deano and Alvin the entertainers were such funny people to watch, and the rest of the staff as well..The hotel is situated right next to a domestic airport with the planes starting at around 6.30am but you soon forget about them if they wake you up and go back to sleep!! The hotel is set on the beach and it is a public beach, we were there over easter so it did get abit busy with the locals but all you heard was children laughing and having fun in the water..The weddings we saw there were also fantastic, it is really weird as you could be eating your lunch and at the same time watching a wedding taking place on the beach!!
All in all I really would reccommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going. It only has 100 rooms so not as big as the other hotels and with it being so small you do feel like you become a part of a community while you are here as you soon get to reconise everyones face!..Fantastic holiday we had and will be going back in a few years time...

Tracey
