Talk-To-Me-Cool-Spot 03/22/2004

I would like to point out this guesthouse in the Soufriere area, because I have read several posts from people looking for a budget place in St. Lucia.
"Talk-To-Me-Cool-Spot" is situated on a hill overlooking the town of Soufriere and Petit Piton. The rooms are nice and clean, with mosquito nets and large louvered doors that open right to the outside. They also have a small kitchenette (at least ours did, I didn't see the other ones), so you can buy groceries in town and cook a few meals if you like. There is also a small restaurant on the premises, run by the owners.
We had the room underneath the restaurant terrace, which is the most private one, since there is no walkway in front of it as in the other ones. As in my previous post re: Nature's Paradise, we were looking for a great view and again got really lucky with this place.
The owners, especially Michael's wife Andrea, are great hosts and we spent quite some time just talking.
From the guest house it takes about 10 minutes to the walterfront by foot, maybe 15 min. into the center of town. We walked that even at night and always felt very safe.
