Blue Bay Resort 4/24/00

We just returned from a weeks stay at the Blue Bay with a family group of 14. We had a most wonderful time. I had read HORRIBLE reviews dated from 98 and 99. While this is not a luxury resort and it is on a hill, it worked for us. My mom has congestive heart failure and was able to get around ok. The food was fine and more than plentiful, but not gourmet. We never waited in lines for meals-even during busy Easter week. The pool area is great-lots of chairs and a busy bar. The staff was most pleasant. Our rooms were large and beds were great! When you get to the bar- start with a BBC.it's a most exceptional island drink. The only frustration we encountered was the fact that a group had checked out all of the snorkel equipment and kept it for a day and a half. Beyond that, it was a fun and happy place to spend a family vacation. We would go back.
