Royal Islander La Plage - Maho Bay 06/15/01

Just got back from spending a week there. Absolutely loved this place. Very quiet. Airport is right next door and I never noticed a plane when I was trying to sleep. Rooms were enormous. Very clean. A little dated. But very nice. Also good sense of security. A security guard patrols the pool area so no need to worry about someone stealing your purse at the pool. Staff was very friendly. Covenient to the Casino Royal (very small but I did win $225 playing black jack and I never win at playing black jack). Also very close to Sunset Beach Bar which we sat and drank $2.00 beers and $3.00 drinks every day from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The private beach is breath taking and secluded. Chairs and towels provided on first come first serve basis. Very large pool. Loved to watch the planes land. So close you could touch them. Cheri Cafe for cheesey entertainment is also close by. Club Q for the young dancing crowd is also across the street. Really enjoyed our stay and if you want to come back each year they sell cheap timeshares. We are already planning a return trip in two years.
