Oyster Bay Beach Resort 02/28/02

We and another couple stayed here in a two Beroom unit Feb. 16 -23, 2002, first time visitors to the island. We enjoyed the place very much and would return. Rooms were large, A/C and all ammenities worked well. Only complaints were that room service forgot to leave towels once and the front desk instructions on how to use the room safe were inaccurate. There was no construction activity but work yet to be done in the most recent expansion. Road to resort was very good, well lit most of way to Phillipsburg. Restaurant at resort was closed due to transition to new chef, etc. Nearby restaurants, Mr Busby's within walking was very good, Captain Oliver's, around the bay, offered free transportation for Sat. night seafood buffet. Pool was clean, beautiful, etc. Timeshare tours were readily available but no pressure to participate.We enjoyed the quiet, beautiful scenery of the area, excellent beach and would return.
