The room was spacious and beautiful! (Only downside was European style shower with no door or curtain.) The hotel service was excellent (they upgraded us due to honeymoon and arranged for a car to be at the hotel when we wanted one). We enjoyed the poolside continental breakfast with fresh croissants, fresh fruit and juice every morning. Nearby, there is lots of construction going on (new shops, etc.), but luckily the room was soundproof so we could close off noise whenever we wanted to. ia The Resort is central to all the Orient Beach activities and restaurants. Alamanda has an arrangement with Kakao (bar/restaurant), offering Alamanda guests complimentary lounge chairs on the beach and waiters will take your order for your favorite frozen drinks.
