Maho Beach Resort 05/05/2003

We stayed there in March 2003. The hotel itself is very nice just make sure you face the pool side. Rooms that face Mullet Bay face the water treatment plant and the smell is awful. The hotel is very clean and if it had a nightlife like other all inclusives it would be a fun place to go. There are no shows and not even a band or bar to sit at and be entertained. The piano bar in the lobby has a piano but no one is allowed to play it especially guests as there is a sign on top of it informing everyone not to play it.
The food was the second best food for an all inclusive we have ever had. The variety was very good. The drinks were great and plentiful.
The only thing about the island is it has the most and best restaurants of any island that I have been to.
The beach is quiet except for the big planes going to the airport. The airport shuts down around 7 pm with most of the big jets long gone by 5 pm. It doesn't bother you in the morning at all. All in all I would say the resort is great if you want to go to sleep around 10 pm or go right outside the resort and pay money for what should be included in an all inclusive.
